At 230 metres (890 feet) above the ground, the 360-degree view incorporates the Pacific Ocean, some of Queensland’s most stunning golden beaches and coastal settlements and canals. In stark contrast, turn slightly to the west to see the rolling greenery of the bushland of the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The deck and the SkyPoint Bistro and Bar are located on Level 77 of the Q1 Building at 9 Hamilton Ave, Surfers Paradise. Here you can sample a buffet breakfast or select something from the menu of all-day dining options.
With ample seating offering stunning views at every turn, the SkyPoint Bar and Bistro is a versatile venue ideal for group functions, intimate gatherings or a romantic meal for two.
At $35 per adult and $25 per child, the deck and dine combo ticket provides exceptional value for money. A day ticket costs $25 per adult and $15 for a child aged 3-13. And the good news for parents; children under three years old are admitted free.

When you purchase a day ticket, you can enter as many times as you wish. An ideal way to watch the ever-changing colours of the ocean as the sun makes its way around the globe. Nowhere else provides such an excellent opportunity to truly appreciate how light can change the whole ambience of a scene.
For the daredevils among you, take your sneakers to take part in the Q1 SkyPoint outdoor climb. Hovering 77 floors above the ocean, this once-in-a-lifetime experience isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Prices for the outside climb range from $75 to $105 depending on the time of day. Sunrise is the most expensive and is only available on a Saturday morning but is possibly the most spectacular. A close second is the twilight climb as the sky glows with impossibly bright colours at sunset and the lights of the Gold Coast twinkle against the inky sky once the sun has slipped below the horizon.
Learn about the landmarks you’re viewing from the information boards dotted around the observation deck. You can even use the static telescopes (for a fee) to look further afield. Visit between June and October, and you may be lucky enough to see Migaloo the famous male white whale, or Migaloo Junior, the white whale calf.
There’s plenty of comfortable seating so you can relax and admire the views of the canals and creeks on the inland side and check the boating and surfing activities on the ocean side.
The elevator whisks you up to the top in around 40 seconds which doesn’t leave much time to read the information boards containing interesting facts! There’s also a screen on the ceiling of the lift so you can see your progress upward.
The SkyPoint deck is open Sunday to Thursday between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm.
